The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a pivotal role where you will manage and build out our current team of circa 7 BDRs, driving new business initiatives in enterprise accounts while reinvigorating the sales processes for maximum effectiveness.
This is a unique opportunity to take on the most senior role in the company aside from the Sales Director and founders. As a newly created position, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the growth trajectory and help shape the future of the sales organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and mentor the BDR team, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
Develop and implement robust processes to enhance outreach and engagement strategies.
Drive new business opportunities within enterprise accounts, leveraging your industry knowledge to connect with key decision-makers.
Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment on messaging and lead generation efforts.
Analyze team performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve outcomes.
Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews to support team development.
Stay informed about industry trends in scientific fields, particularly in chemistry or materials science, to adapt strategies effectively.
Requirements
Previous management and mentoring experience, with a track record of developing high-performing sales teams.
Ideally, a background in scientific fields such as chemistry or materials science.
Proven sales performance in driving new business and meeting/exceeding targets.
