The Role


This newly created role has emerged due to the company's rapid growth and success. They are signing so many new clients that they need to hire someone to help maximize their opportunities. This is your chance to join a dynamic team and work with revolutionary software solutions that are transforming industries. This is a hybrid role based in Menlo Park, and requires working in the office four days a week, providing an excellent balance of collaboration and autonomy. The role also includes some domestic travel to client sites, up to six weeks per year.


Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure client computer systems, NVR/VMS systems, and camera/speaker modules based on recommended specifications.

  • Utilize Linux networking commands, shell scripts, VMS/NVR systems, and Ansible+Jenkins for various tasks.

  • Document and maintain records of all tenants, installed modules (hardware, software), and third-party systems.

  • Deploy new tenants and manage incremental hardware/software upgrades for customers.

  • Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, or networking issues promptly.

  • Perform site visits to install hardware, rack machines, set up networking, validate end-to-end deployments, and create site assessment reports.

  • Monitor the overall health of customers' systems and applications.



Requirements


  • An engineering degree/diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is essential

  • Proven experience in hardware and software installation and configuration.

  • Ability to work independently and find solutions in various environments.

  • Ability to identify missing integrations and environmental issues and communicate them to stakeholders.

  • Proactive in identifying issues before customers report them.

  • Passionate about automation and capable of automating workflows.

  • Familiarity with Linux networking and administration, configuration (3+ years).

  • Experience with hardware and software deployments (3+ years).

  • Prior experience with physical security systems (2+ years).

  • Experience with Kubernetes (2+ years).
