The Role
The Sales Lead will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of digital advertising technologies, strong agency contacts, excellent team management skills, and a proven track record in startup sales. The Sales Lead will oversee a team of sales professionals, build and maintain strong client relationships, and ensure the successful execution of sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and achieve sales targets. Align strategies with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, setting clear goals, providing ongoing training, and fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Client Acquisition: Identify and target key business opportunities within the digital advertising space, including brands, agencies, and media companies. Drive client acquisition and develop strategies to penetrate new markets.
Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, including CMOs, media buyers, and agency leads. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that drive client success.
Sales Execution: Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation and qualification to proposal development and contract negotiation. Ensure a seamless and successful sales experience for clients.
Market Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Use insights to refine sales strategies, position the platforms solutions effectively, and identify new business opportunities.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on client needs, product updates, and service delivery. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to enhance overall client satisfaction.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance metrics, prepare detailed reports, and provide insights to senior management. Implement strategies to address performance gaps and optimize sales effectiveness.
Customer Advocacy: Advocate for clients’ needs, ensuring their satisfaction by providing exceptional service, addressing challenges, and delivering value through tailored solutions.
